Roger Charles Jackson has chaired the Cantos board of directors since 2003. Roger is a well known and respected leader and won the only gold medal for Canada at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Rowing (pairs) with George Hungerford.

He was the Director of Sport Canada and was President for three terms of the Canadian Olympic Committee and from 1978 to 1988, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary.  Roger was the founder and Director of the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre.

In 1964, Roger was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and, in 1984 he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.  In 2005, Roger Jackson was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Own the Podium 2010.
