Individuals

An individual truly CAN make a difference. Here at Cantos, our volunteers, donors and fundraisers help keep the music playing. Here's how you can help:

Give

We gratefully accept gifts directed toward the area of greatest need. Your gift can make a difference for school children, emerging artists, seniors and other members of the community - 30,000 of whom benefit from Cantos' collection and programming every year. Give now!

Volunteering

According to the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy, the benefits of running a corporate volunteer program are many, including:

  • Enhanced, closer, and more trusting working relationships, higher morale and greater job satisfaction at the company
  • Increased pride and positive feelings about the company
  • Improved corporate image, reputation, and perception of the company
  • Enhanced corporate visibility in the community (from volunteers and the media)

Volunteer

Cantos is a fun place to be - and we're always looking for people to help out.  Have a special skill or talent you'd like to put to use for a good cause? We have photographers helping us shoot our collection  and carpenters building storage for kids program materials. Perhaps you'd like to help with our annual campaign or one of our fundraising events. We're always happy to have you.

Currently, Cantos has a special need for: writers, researchers, videographers and other media specialists to help tell the Cantos story.

Attend an Event

Cantos brings its friends together a few times a year to celebrate music and the impact Cantos makes in the community. In 2008, our Vivace! Fall Fundraiser saw performances by The Duhks and Luke Doucette as well as emerging classical pianist Jan Lisieki. Thanks to generous attendees, donors and silent auction bidders, we were able to raise more than $40,000 for our programs.
