One Yellow Rabbit: Music and the Movies
Cantos and OYR had an extremely successful collaboration in 2009 bringing world-famous composer Philip Glass to Calgary for three events for the OYR High Performance Rodeo. Glass performed a solo piano concert at the Grand Theatre, led a personal, interactive tour of the Cantos Musical Collection with an intimate group of fans and he collaborated with Kronos Quartet to play live his original soundtrack for Bela Lugosi's Dracula. Cantos also collaborated with One Yellow Rabbit for the 2008 High Performance Rodeo with Intimate and Interactive tours conducted by guest musicians Hong Xu and Jeroen Van Veen.

Calgary opera logoCalgary Opera: Cantos à la Carte
Cantos and Calgary Opera work closely together on two of Cantos à la Carte 's four 2008 summer performances. Alumni from the Opera's emerging artists program perform pieces from opera favourites accompanied by the beautiful Carthy organ at the Jack Singer Concert Hall.

EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts: Cantos à la Carte
The EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts and Cantos Music Foundation work together to present Cantos à la Carte, Calgary's longest running free noon-hour concert series.  Performances feature the Carthy Organ and collaborations with Calgary Opera and Mount Royal College Academy's International Summer School.

Calgary Folk Fest logoCalgary Folk Music Festival: Folk Boot Camp
Cantos and the CFMF work together to present the annual Folk Boot Camp - six intensive workshops featuring songwriting, guitar, vocal, and banjo taught by stellar Festival musicians. The three-day sessions allow the instructor and 15 participants to develop their skills and receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers.

 OPCDOlympic Plaza Cultural District: First Thursdays
Cantos regularly participates in OPCD's First Thursdays - Calgary's premier food, wine and arts event.  On the first Thursday of every month, 35 or more galleries, shops, restaurants, pubs, theatres, museums and more offer special events or discounts - all within three blocks of Olympic Plaza, all free or discounted. We offer free tours of the collection as well as a concert on our music room stage.

Cantos' Music@Noon program regularly features up-and-coming musicians from the Mount Royal College Conservatory. During the summer months, a potpourri of musical performances on Cantos' music room stage.

 AllianceAlliance Francaise: Cultural Programming  
Cantos and the Alliance Francaise are working together bringing visiting French artists to the Cantos collection and providing French Cultural programming through a unique use of our instruments.  Alliance Francaise also generously lends us their expertise in translation.

childrens fest logoCalgary International Children's Festival: Duet Stage Performance
Cantos sets up its one-of-a-kind Dean Stanton-decorated busker piano on the duet stage at the Jack Singer Concert Hall to treat children and grown-ups to special musical performances before and after the festival's theatrical and musical programs at the EPCOR Centre.

 Friends of the King Eddy: All things Blues
Since acquiring the King Edward Hotel in 2008, Cantos has worked closely with the Friends of the King Eddy to develop blues programming, promote the vision for a national music centre and in fundraising efforts.

Fort Calgary:  Canadian Communities Celebrate!
Register for a full-day of hands-on learning about Acadian, Inuit and Prairie communities at Fort Calgary and Cantos. Discover how three unique Canadian cultures celebrate by making your own music, handling artifacts, singing, storytelling, wearing costumes and more! Visit two museums in one day for twice the fun! 
Lougheed House: Parlour Music 1905
Join presenters from Cantos Music Foundation in the Lougheed House music room for an entertaining and educational look at music and instruments that were popular at the turn of the 20th century. Parlour Music 1905 offers students a glimpse of musical life during this period as they hear stories, listen to music and get hands on with a selection of instruments from the Cantos Gallery. 
University of Calgary Ahrend Organ: Pipe! Pipe! Hooray!
Cantos and the University of Calgary Organ Chair team up to present this fun and educational program to Grade 3 students at the Rosza Centre on the U of C campus using a beautiful Baroque pipe organ.
