![]() | Ric Singleton, Director Ric has lived and worked in Calgary for 58 of his young 62 years. Growing up in Calgary he participated in school sports teams while achieving bursaries/scholarships at graduation. Attending the University of Manitoba he received an excellence recognition for this Bachelor thesis in Architecture in 1971. Representative pieces of his 36 yr career in Architecture may be found throughout the province of Alberta primarily in the commercial and institutional building areas. Notable examples include Bankers Hall, the Hyatt Hotel, the Husky Oil complex, and Trimac House in Calgary, several Famous Players theatres across the country including the Chinook Shopping center Paramount, and CSIS Hqtrs in Ottawa. Ric has founded numerous student educational scholarships in the province, given at the Banff Centre, Olds College, Mt Royal College, the Calgary Foundation and others. His recent and current volunteer activities include participation with the PC party of Alberta, the Calgary Stampede Art Committee, the Cantos Foundation Board, and the Calgary Arts Development Authority. |
